Top Fan of the Month: An Interview with Hidayat A. Abdulhamid

In this interview, Hidayat Abdulhamid, our top fan for the month of August, shared with us how she has benefited from Al-Faaedah Press Organization’s publications. Let’s read her story and see why she consistently engages with our articles.
Kindly introduce yourself to our readers
I’m Hidayat A. Abdulhamid, a 200-level Physiotherapy student from the University of Ibadan. And… I really love being called TheHidaayat.
Congratulations on being recognised as our Top Fan of the Month! How did you feel when you found out?
I was surprised that I denied being a Top Fan because I remember reading an article from Al Faaedah Press that day.
You’ve been one of our most active and engaging readers this month. What keeps you connected with Al-Faaedah Press Organization and its publications?
It definitely has to be the header. That is what determines what I read.
Which publication, article, or initiative has captured your attention the most recently, and what made it stand out to you?
The publication on Tesleem. It’s very relatable because it’s become part of us that we no longer pay attention to how it’s being said and why.
As an active reader, what qualities do you think make an article truly engaging and worth sharing?
The message and thoughts an article leaves with the reader.
Have any of our publications influenced your perspective, inspired you to learn something new, or sparked meaningful conversations? We’d love to hear about it.
I cannot say for sure.
Reader feedback helps us grow. From your perspective, what do you think Al-Faaedah Press Organization is doing well, and what areas can we improve?
A big shout-out to Al Faaedah Press! I admire their consistency in publishing an amazing number of different publications weekly, which is somewhat rare in the press today. They are very consistent with ‘Quality and Quantity’.
And I will implore them to try creating content for different age groups as well. It can be a Press for all inquisitive minds that loves growth.
If you had the opportunity to recommend one topic, initiative, or series for us to explore in future editions, what would it be?
It would be to increase the publication of articles that address secondary school students. Something they can pick up, read and genuinely relate to.
What advice would you give to other readers about engaging with quality journalism and thought-provoking content?
I particularly love thought-provoking content, and I try to write more of it myself because I believe everyone has a mind of their own, which they may not always realise. But this kind of content sparks such thoughts in them that they won’t leave their heads, even after they are done with the article.
A good publication should not just be informative; it should make you think or have a different perspective.
What message would you like to share with the editorial team as they continue striving for excellence?
The Editorial team is doing an amazing Job already. They should keep it up and remember not to compromise their standard.
Finally, why should someone who has never read an Al-Faaedah publication become part of our growing community of readers?
‘For a mind that knows is a mind that is free’
There is always something new to learn in each publication. Especially for anyone who finds it hard to pick a book and read it to the end, such a person should find a reading spot here, because it will build them up and never let them run out of ideas, too.
Although people have different interests, I believe they will definitely find their favourite by engaging with their website.

Jazakumullahu Khayran to the editorial team. The references from Surah Taha were especially grounding.
