I'M GRATEFUL

Aakifah Dokpesi

I’m grateful for the loss and ache,
For every dream I dared to make.
For nights I cried and couldn’t sleep
They taught me how the soul runs deep.

I’m grateful for the silent wars,
The closed-off hearts, the locked-up doors.
For every “no” that felt unfair
Each one became a answered prayer.

I’m grateful for the pain that stayed,
The storms that left me bruised and frayed.
For every fall that looked like end
But drew me closer to my Rabb.

I’m grateful for the wins and light,
But more for faith that held me tight.
For trusting Him when all felt lost
Love like that comes with a cost.

So if I had to live again,
I’d choose the hurt, the loss, the strain.
To show my love through every test
arRahmān’s plan is always best.

A deeply insightful exploration. The balance between academic discipline and spiritual consciousness is precisely what our student body needs today.
