Over 10,000 Delegates: IVC Records Its Largest Turnout in Six Years

By Muhammad Murithadoh
The 115th Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) organised by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), B-Zone, has recorded its highest attendance in the last six years.
Attendance records from 2019 to 2025 indicate that the number of delegates declined significantly in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only 1,265 delegates were recorded that year. In 2019, the camp had 7,081 delegates. The figures later improved in 2022 with 5,740 delegates, while 2023 recorded 5,807 delegates. In 2024, a total of 5,957 delegates attended the camp.
However, the 2025 IVC has witnessed a major rise in attendance. As of the latest check-in records, 10,171 delegates have been successfully registered and admitted into the camp. This makes the current IVC the most attended in the past six years.
The increase has been linked to the use of an online registration system introduced before the camp began. This system made registration easier and faster for intending delegates.
Speaking on the development, the IVC Organiser, Mallam Alli Abdulsalam, said the turnout was a result of infrastructural improvements made at the IVC Permanent Site and increased publicity. According to him, many delegates were encouraged to attend because of better facilities at the campground and the consistent awareness created through IVC Radio.
He also called on the leadership of the zone to continue investing in infrastructure to support future development of the camp.
