THE CURRENCY OF CLOUT

For the likes, we forsake ethics,
For the shares, we fuel the gimmicks.
We care less about the massive clicks,
For the bag, any sweet—we lick.

The age of titles, hollow yet grand,
Where tricks replace the skilled hand.
Not the algorithm, nor the metrics,
Favour those who dare take risks.

The chief judge of creativity? Follows.
Who cares if the reasoning is shallow?
As long as it trends and wallows,
Who dares to think of tomorrow?

Cheers to the new encyclopedia,
Our sacred source—the iconic media.
For you’ve made our youth the best of readers,
And the saint—the worst of sinners
