The Path to Allah and the Hereafter

By Mubarak Folawiyo Abimbola

This world is fleeting, dust and flame,
A trial, a test, not just a name.
Its lights may shine, its hands may pull,
But hearts find peace in the One who’s full.

The path to Allah is narrow, steep,
Paved with choices, prayers, and grief.
Each step demands a soul awake,
To give, to lose, for heaven’s sake.

I trade my sleep for Sujood’s peace,
My tongue for dhikr that brings release.
I starve my pride, I guard my gaze,
And walk this path through worldly haze.

The Hereafter waits—so vast, so near,
With either joy or endless fear.
A Day when deeds shall rise or fall,
And truth will echo through it all.

So I walk not fast, but firm and clear,
With taqwa, hope, and trembling fear.
For every breath may be my last,
Before I’m judged for all that’s past.

O Allah, guide my every tread,
Keep me firm until I’m dead.
And raise me when the trumpet’s blown,
To meet You pleased, and not alone.

A deeply insightful exploration. The balance between academic discipline and spiritual consciousness is precisely what our student body needs today.
