EXTRAMURAL: 37 Years of Transforming Lives, Now in Need of a Permanent Home

For 37 years, Extramural has stood as a beacon of hope for thousands of Muslim students striving for academic excellence. Established with the mission of providing high-quality education while preserving Islamic values, Extramural has helped over 15,000 students gain admission into prestigious universities across Nigeria.
However, despite its undeniable impact, Extramural has never had a place to truly call its own. For decades, the institution has relied on borrowed spaces, thanks to the generosity of Ansarudeen. But the time has come for Extramural to secure a permanent site—a home where future generations of students can learn, grow, and succeed without limitations.
A LEGACY OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND SUCCESS
Since its inception, Extramural has consistently shaped the future of students by offering structured tutorial programs that bridge the gap between secondary education and university admissions.
Many alumni of Extramural have become doctors, engineers, lawyers, educators, and professionals across various fields, who are now contributing immensely to society. The institution has built a reputation for producing students who excel in UTME, post-UTME, and other entrance exams, proving that with the right support, every student has the potential to succeed.
One such success story is Adeyemo Sheriffdeen, a young scholar who, after struggling with UTME in his first attempt, joined Extramural and gained admission into the Federal University of Oye, Ekiti.
“Before I joined Extramural, I used to be very inconsistent with my daily Solat. I would pray Subh around 7 am, join Zuhr, Asr, and Maghrib, and only pray Isha if Allah willed.
I joined Extramural in late 2020 when I attended the Post-UTME tutorial. I met students who were not only passionate about their academics but also deeply committed to their religion. This inspired me, and the SPD sessions also played a significant role in shaping me.
Now, I’m a better Muslim… Alhamdulillah. Academically, I also realized that I needed to do more. I met Abdul Hakeem, who scored 341 in JAMB, and other students with impressive scores, while I had 254 that year. I was inspired, put in a great deal of effort, and eventually scored 298 in my last JAMB,” he said.
Why Extramural Needs a Permanent Site
For an institution that has impacted thousands of lives, the absence of a permanent site is a major setback. The current reliance on borrowed spaces limits its ability to:
Expand and accommodate more students, develop better facilities for quality learning, and provide a stable environment for both students and tutors.
A permanent site will ensure that Extramural continues to thrive and serve the Muslim community for generations to come. It is not just a building—it is an investment in the future of our youth, our Ummah, and our society.
BE PART OF THIS NOBLE CAUSE
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute to something that will outlive us all. Every student who walks through the doors of Extramural in the coming years will be a part of your legacy. Imagine the rewards of every dua made, every page of a textbook read, and every success story written—all because you helped build a future for them.
